Ascenseurs hydrauliques: Bien qu’abordables, ils fonctionnent avec un piston et une pompe. Notez qu’ils nécessitent un réservoir d’huile externe et présentent des risques potentiels de fuites et d’odeurs, contrairement à nos systèmes à vis.
Ascenseurs à câbles (Traction): Performants en termes de vitesse en hauteur, ils sont toutefois plus coûteux en maintenance en raison de la complexité des câbles en acier et des contrepoids. Ils sont souvent surdimensionnés pour un usage domestique privé.
