What is the speed of a domestic lift?

A conventional elevator, such as in a skyscraper, the speed can range between 0.5 up to 1.5 m/s. There are also special elevators that can run even faster, up to 18 m/s or more. These elevators are suitable for buildings with high traffic and many floors. In a private home with only 2 or a few floors, such an elevator would never be able to reach full speed in practice. Also, this type of elevator solution would require so much space for the pit and machine room that it would not fit in practice.

SWIFT’s solution, on the other hand, is a domestic lift based on a platform lift solution, where the machine room is built-in and the total need for space is significantly less. SWIFT’s focus is on private homes with only 2-6 floors. In private homes, the trips are shorter, the use is less frequent, and the need for speed is significantly lower.

SWIFT Pro has a maximum speed of 0.15 m/s within Europe and 0.3 m/s outside Europe. Door speed can be determined via the display.

SWIFT Lite has a maximum speed of 0.15 m/s within Europe and 0.3 m/s outside Europe.
