How does SWIFT Work?

SWIFT is an all-inclusive home lift with a platform and a modular shaft. The shaft can be personalised with glass panels or shaft panels depending on your interior design and floor plan. There is no need for any external shaft, additional landing doors or safety headroom above the lift. The home lift can be installed directly on the floor or set in a 50 mm pit.

How SWIFT Home Lifts Work

Unlike Traditional elevators, SWIFT doesn’t require external shafts, landing doors on each floor, or a separate machine room. It may be installed directly on the floor or recessed into a minimal 50 mm pit for a flush, seamless transition between levels.

The Drive system is based on a screw and nut solution. When the nut rotates, the lift travels up or down. The screw and nut system was originally developed in Sweden and is extremely reliable, safe and space efficient. In addition to the screw and nut drive system, SWIFT has a Tesla inspired battery system. When the home lift travels downwards, the batteries are being charged. In this way every 4th ride is for free and the overall energy consumption is very low.

Furthermore, SWIFT embraces regenerative battery technology inspired by Tesla: when the lift travels downward, it charges its onboard battery—making roughly every fourth ride virtually energy‑free and contributing to very low overall power usage In case of a power outage, the lift can operate normally on battery power, thanks to this built‑in backup system.
