Floor heating – is that a problem?

If your home has floor heating, this needs to be carefully reviewed prior to installation. If the lift is installed in a 50 mm pit (to make the door flush with the floor) you need to make sure the pit can be made without accidentally cutting any floor heating pipes or cables. If you install the lift on top of the floor, you just have to ensure you can use bolts through the floor without breaking any of the floor heating pipes or cables.

For any cut out of floors to second or third floor etc, of course the floor heating also has to be reviewed to make sure cables or pipes are not being cut off.
