Who can Prepare the Hole-Through-The-Floors?
With a SWIFT domestic lift, the only major preparations required before installation are the pit (if you want the door to be flush with the floor) and the hole through the floors. This opening allows the lift to move smoothly between levels. SWIFT typically verifies that this work has been done correctly by reviewing your architectural drawings or performing actual measurements during a home visit.
If needed, SWIFT can also assist with drilling holes in floor areas and cutting openings between floors. However, please note that this service is offered at an additional cost and must be arranged in advance.
If the lift is being installed in the middle of a staircase, no hole through the floors is required, as the structure allows for a different type of mounting.
If you’re designing a new home or undertaking a major refurbishment of your current one, be sure to incorporate the home lift early in your floor plans. SWIFT is happy to consult directly with your architect or designer to ensure all technical requirements are addressed properly.
