Lift dimensions - What do you need to think about?

One size does not fit all. When installing a home lift, checking the exact space you have, your practical needs (like suitcases, prams, wheelchairs), and matching them with the correct lift dimensions is essential for both safety and comfort. These specifications are just as critical for elevator dimensions in residential settings.

SWIFT platform lifts come in six different sizes, each defined by three key measurements: the floor size (usable standing area), the outer dimension (lift plus shaft envelope), and the hole-through-the-floor dimension needed between floors. Both SWIFT Pro and SWIFT Lite support flexible lift dimensions – being installable either directly on the existing floor or recessed into a slim 50 mm pit.

Only 2275 mm is required for top-floor clearance (top height), and our drawings clearly outline necessary door swing space. Need more precise elevator dimensions? Just ask—our BIM files are available for architects and planners.
