Free standing or staircase installation?

A staircase installation means that the lift is installed in the middle of a staircase. This is a very typical and good position for the home lift. The home lift will then be fixed to the stairs and each floor level using a special “mast support bracket”.​ A free standing home lift is an installation where the lift stands in any open area of the home. The lift is then fixed to each floor level. SWIFT is developed to support both types of installations.
