Who can Prepare the Hole-Through-The-Floors?

For a home lift installation, the only preparatory work needed is the pit (if you want the door to be flush with the floor) and the hole-through-the-floor. Typically, SWIFT ensures that this work has been completed correctly by checking your drawings or performing measurements during a home visit.

SWIFT can also assist with drilling a hole in the floor or preparing the hole in the side of the floor, but please note that these services are charged separately. If your lift is being installed in the middle of a staircase, no hole-through-the-floor is required.

For new builds or major refurbishments, it is important to include the home lift in your architectural drawings. Architects and designers can consult directly with SWIFT to ensure accurate planning and smooth integration of the lift into your home.
