Can you have a home lift?

Installing a home lift requires planning and the right conditions. Firstly, if your house is a new build and still in the design phase, it will be easier to find a place for the lift. As a result, you can advantageously choose one of our larger sizes.

If, by comparison, you want to install a home lift in your existing house, the space is often more limited. As a result, you will likely have to use one of the smaller sizes of the lift.

You also need to consider where the doors will be placed and whether the lift will be placed directly on the floor or if you want the lift to be levelled with the floor and thus recessed by 50 mm. Additionally, you need to make sure you have enough ceiling height on the top floor. Regardless of the installation, you need at least 2275 mm in ceiling height on the top floor.

Similarly, there are great opportunities to design the lift so that it blends into the floor plan or you let the lift stand out as a design feature.

In summary, installing a home lift requires some planning. SWIFT can help you with this.
