Villa Bleket
On Sweden’s west coast, in Torslanda, Villa Bleket sits on a rocky seaside plot shaped by sea, stone, and nature—where the architecture is designed to work with the landscape, not compete with it.
Completed in 2025, Villa Bleket is a modern interpretation of functionalism, where architecture is guided by clarity, purpose, and volume. Public spaces are unified through a refined palette of lime plaster walls, limestone flooring, and oak ceilings. At the heart of the home, a generous stairwell rises through the building, illuminated by a light shaft crowned with a lantern. Within this architectural centerpiece, the SWIFT Pro home lift integrates seamlessly—both visually and functionally.
Developed in close collaboration with What! Arkitektur, the project reflects a shared process where the homeowners defined the framework, including a clear ambition to bring elements of Gotlandic tradition and mid-century functionalism into a west coast setting. The architects translated this into a cohesive design—combining durability with a timeless, crafted feel, with much of the fixed interior built on-site, reinforcing the home’s tactile and bespoke character.
The villa spans three floors, designed for long-term living and the ability to age gracefully, with a strong connection to its coastal setting. Installing a SWIFT Pro was a natural choice. Finished in Jet Black with an Opal White ArtWall and Linen Grey textile floor, it was chosen to harmonize with the home’s restrained material palette. It enhances accessibility across all levels and is appreciated for its quality, quiet operation, and everyday ease—bringing both convenience and joy, not least for visiting grandchildren.
