Townhouse Tre Gudor

Townhouse Tre Gudor

Just a short walk from the sea, Townhouse Tre Gudor sits in the old part of Viken — a Swedish idyllic coastal village by the Øresund, only a 30-minute ferry ride to Denmark. Built in 2001, it’s part of a residential area where Danish modernism meets the charm of a Swedish fishing village. The couple discovered the house by chance back in 2005 — on their way to buy fish in the harbour — and instantly fell in love with its Danish architecture, large windows, and the sense of light and openness.
Years later, when the idea of a home lift came up, it started almost as a joke. But after consulting their builder — who happened to be considering the same — the project took shape. The family chose SWIFT, with the builder managing the installation from start to finish. The process was smooth, on time, and on budget. Today, the white, glass-panelled SWIFT Lite feels like a natural part of the home — both in function and design. Beyond its elegant look, it’s become part of everyday life: carrying trays upstairs for dinner parties, making it easier for guests with limited mobility to join the family in the upstairs living room, and ensuring the couple can stay in their beloved two-storey home for many years to come. “Our goal was to keep living in this two-storey house we fell in love with 20 years ago — as if it were a one-level home. Thanks to SWIFT, we can.”

Behind the dark façade, the interior unfolds in white walls, light pine floors, and generous ceiling height, with large windows.

Townhouse Tre Gudor also comes with its own perfectly sized garden — just right, according to the family.

Tre Gudor also carries many Scandinavian design classics.

Cushions in fabric Elefant designed by Estrid Ericson, Svenskt Tenn and a Dalahäst (valley hourse) are typical Swedish design elements.

SWIFT Lite fits seamlessly into the interior of Tre Gudor.

A touch of Japandi – a fusion of Japanese and Scandinavian design.

A Tre Gudor favourite, well used by the family — for everyday breaks or a classic Swedish fika.

Designed by the Danish architecture firm Vandkunsten, the townhouse combines a restrained exterior with a spacious and bright interior.

When indoors feels like outdoors — and vice versa.

SWIFT Lite in Traffic White blends naturally with the interior of Tre Gudor.

White tones and natural light run throughout Townhouse Tre Gudor.
